News & Announcements

End of Week Update

Thanks to our TSD families and staff for the ongoing efforts to keep our schools open and to keep everyone safe.

Bus 29 Students will be remote tomorrow, Thursday October 22

Dear TSD Families,

Out of an abundance of caution, we are keeping secondary students who ride Bus 29 home tomorrow, Thursday October 22, 2020.  An individual on that bus has tested positive for COVID and students may or may not have had close contact with that individual on Monday or Tuesday of this week.  We are working with the Department of Health to provide a bus roster which will assist in their contact tracing process as they do with any positive COVID case.  However, because of the late hour, they will not be contact tracing until tomorrow.

We will interact directly with those Bus 29 students and families as we work through this situation.

Thank you,
Mr. Benedick

Special Education Compliance Monitoring

The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education (BSE), monitors all school districts
and charter schools in the state at least once every six years to ensure that they are complying with federal
and state regulations for special education. As a part of this process, we are asking parents of students who receive special education services to complete a survey. The link is included in this letter under the Special Education tab on our website. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zPgDXqzMZNeg-OdGpXqm3pYUtjZzzUp-/view

Thank you for your participation. Contact us with questions.

All Day Remote Wednesdays

On Monday, September 28, 2020, the TSD Board of School Directors approved a schedule change. TSD schools will transition to all day remote education days every Wednesday through the end of December. This change will take effect on Wednesday, October 14th, 2020.  Until then, TSD schools will continue to operate on 2 hour delay schedules as they have been on September 30th and October 7th.  Additional details will be forthcoming.  Thank you.
